The mission of the HR department spans the entire employee lifecycle, from the candidate experience during the recruitment stage to developing and retaining the employees of the company, while solidifying Talkwalker as a great place to work and providing a fantastic employee experience.

The HR Generalist will support our HR department in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. The HR generalist will have administrative responsibilities, helping us to plan and administer important functions, such as staffing, training and development, and compensation and benefits. Given the location of our HR team in Luxembourg, we are ideally looking for candidates located in Eastern Standard Time (EST).

For NYC-based candidate, the salary range is between 55k - 80k with a 10% bonus (of base) paid out yearly.

The wage range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets' experience and training; licensure and certifications; location and work arrangement; and other business and organizational needs.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist with HR processes and procedures, including onboarding, payroll and benefits administration and offboarding
  • Partner with the HR team in Luxembourg to ensure consistency in HR practices and compliance with company policies
  • Maintain HR records and ensure data accuracy in UKG (UltiPro)
  • Partner with our Payroll team to process payroll reporting, auditing and benchmarking, as well as to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and employee benefits programs
  • Manage employee leaves of absence, including FMLA and ADA accommodations
  • Review monthly unemployment statements and respond to unemployment claims with appropriate documentation
  • Support employees on an ongoing basis by responding to general employee inquiries regarding the Staff Handbook policies, payroll, benefits, paid time off, etc.
  • Commit to continuous learning and development by staying on top of and calling to attention changing laws and regulations
  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
  • Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies
  • Facilitate semi-annual and annual employee performance conversations
  • Manage and maintain data systems for employee engagement, performance management, and evaluation
  • Generate monthly and ad hoc employee data reports on an as-needed basis utilizing UKG
  • Serve as our go-to resource for our business stakeholders in need of additional support in the US and the coordination of tasks across multiple teams in the HR practice.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with a HRIS
  • Good knowledge of US payroll processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
  • Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
  • Good knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office; HRIS systems (e.g. UKG, ADP, BambooHR)
  • Aptitude in problem-solving
  • Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach

Interview process:

  • 1st interview with our TA Partner - 30 minutes
  • 2nd interview with our US Payroll & HRIS team - 60 minutes
  • 3rd interview with our Senior HRBP - 60 minutes
  • Final interview with our Chief Commercial Officer - 30 minutes
