You will architect a multi-year strategy to build leadership capabilities, alignment, and impact, give our managers the right tools and support to be great, and enable employees to evolve their skills and perspectives in key areas. You will bring that strategy to life through a team of talent development professionals, cross-functional partners, and org leaders to deliver exceptional experiences that help us achieve our business objectives and retain and motivate our people.

We are looking for a leader who is strategic, practical and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You have an innovative and fresh perspective toward learning and leadership and are a skilled facilitator and content designer who can leverage multiple interactive modalities, vendors, and technologies to create a truly impactful experience.

This position is a people manager role reporting to the Vice President, Talent Development and is designated Flex.

Responsibility

  • Craft a multi-year vision and strategy for leadership, learning and skill development and lead a team of learning professionals to execute and iterate on it with support from cross-functional partners
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners (HRBP), business leaders (including our CEO and executive team) and other key stakeholders to understand DocuSign’s leadership and learning needs, and determine the most culturally and business-relevant programs, experiences, and resources to meet those needs within our resource envelope
  • Lead the development and delivery of high-impact, practical and elegant learning solutions in areas such as leadership development at all levels, employee onboarding, inclusion, career growth, change resilience, and a variety of professional skills
  • Embed and amplify DocuSign culture and values into all aspects of learning, development and skills building strategies, tactical solutions, and program offerings
  • Oversee the creation of just-in-time enablement and work with subject matter experts to design custom online and in-person learning for a variety of people programs and topics (e.g., performance review, compensation)
  • Leverage your network and knowledge to benchmark external best practices and relevant academic research to inform learning content and program design
  • Determine, as part of your strategy, whether we build program components in-house or partner with external vendors; shift us toward non-proprietary content, strong ROI and a global facilitator pool to augment internal capacity
  • Build a cross-functional learning network spanning multiple functions within DocuSign (e.g., field enablement, program management) to drive a cohesive strategy to map and address future skill and learning technology needs
  • Consult with HRBPs and leaders as needed on priority org-specific interventions and vet and recommend external practitioners and offerings as needed
  • Facilitate, present or emcee program components, particularly those with an executive audience, and mentor other team members to develop their facilitation and content design skills
  • Guide our use of learning technology, online content and analytics and feedback mechanisms in partnership with your team in order to maximize access, utilization and ROI
  • Drive marketing and communications approach to engage employees, their managers and leaders in finding the right content at the right time

What you bring

Basic

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 12+ years of professional experience with an emphasis on learning, talent development and organizational effectiveness
  • Experience managing a team of learning professionals including experienced consultants and coordinators
  • Experience using current learning techniques to design unique multi-modality programs (including in-person experiences, virtual learning, diagnostics, coaching, and community-building) for diverse global populations leveraging internal and external resources
  • Experience as a facilitator, learning designer, and content creator
  • Experience working with HRBPs and leaders to identify and prioritize learning needs and develop scalable, global programs to build manager and leader capability and support employee development
  • Experience managing learning technologies and online content platforms with high utilization and ROI
  • Experience assessing and evaluating the impact of learning solutions

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Existing certifications in learning programs or structured team or individual diagnostics
  • MA, MBA, PhD or other advanced degree

Based on legislation in Washington state the following details are for individuals who reside and would be working in Washington only: Washington pay range: $165,600 - $251,875 base salary
