The People Operations Specialist will support organizational initiatives that allow n2y to maintain a high-performing and engaged team in a remote-first culture. This position supports People-related programs, including Compensation & Benefits, Diversity, Talent Acquisition, Onboarding, and Employee Engagement. The People Operations Specialist will be passionate about the employee experience and committed to building and evolving People programs, tools, and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion employee onboarding and offboarding programs, including orientation, 30/60/90 day plans, buddy program, new hire surveys and exit interviews.
  • Act as the primary liaison between People Operations and Finance to document payroll changes, administer changes in personnel, compensation and benefits in support of the bi-weekly payroll process.
  • Support benefits administration, leave of absence programs, open enrollment, monthly reconciliation, as well as implementation of new benefit programs. 
  • Use data to assess People priorities. Track and report staffing, retention, attrition, and engagement data. Recommend programs and/or enhancements as necessary.
  • Assist with recruiting and applicant screening processes
  • Support n2y diversity initiatives including DE&I programs, training, and recruiting objectives. 
  • Support collaborative employee committees and initiatives
  • Manage sensitive and confidential data such as personnel files and I-9 documentation
  • Assist with audits and filings related to EEO-1 reporting and benefits compliance
  • Contribute to additional projects in support of the overall People strategy.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 3+ years of experience supporting businesses on a People team, preferably with experience in a remote or hybrid environment
  • Understanding of local, multi-state, and federal employment laws and best practices
  • Experienced in building strong and trusted relationships with all levels of staff
  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with highly sensitive data
