Job Title:        Human Resources Generalist   

Reports To:      Human Resources Manager

Location:         Denver, CO

FLSA Status:  Exempt

Job Purpose:

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting organizations Human Resources department with a variety of human resources needs which include, staffing, onboard process, employee relations, consulting with and advising managers on trends while executing Human Resources functions.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

·      Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes-attract, source, recruit, and deliver top talent.

·      Provide exceptional candidate experience through communication and responsiveness.

·      Ensure that recruiting activities are aligned with company Mission, Vision and Values.

·      Attend, assist, and actively participate in recruiting events including in house hiring events, onsite interviews, job fairs, conferences.

·      Acts as contact for employees regarding human resources related items, including benefits, leave of absence and company policies.

·      Lead the Onboard and Orientation Program.

·      Attend, assist, and actively participate in retention strategy.

·      Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.

·      Lead compliance across the organization

·      Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like employee satisfaction feedback.

·      Assist in HR related calls or distribute correspondence to the appropriate person(s).

·      Inputting, updating, and maintaining data in the recruiting database.

·      Assisting management with personnel issues and employee development.

·      Assisting management with organizing and coordinating employee training workshops.

·      Respond appropriately to time-sensitive HR issues.

·      Acts as a resource for employees.

·      Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like employee satisfaction feedback.

·      Assisting in employee relation matters.

·      Protecting operations by keeping human resource information confidential.

·      Providing horizontal support to other staff members of the Human Resources team.

·      Ensure compliance with all federal and state labor laws and regulations.

·      Other duties in the Human Resources Department as assigned based on the needs of the organization.

Reporting Relationships

Reports to the Human Resources Manager

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s)

·      Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in providing Human Resources support or similar support services in a fast pace and dynamic environment.

·      Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

·      Interpersonal and training skills to lead conversations.

·      Detail-oriented with excellent time-management and multi-tasking skills.

·      Ability to create and implement strategies for employee support.

·      Understands local and state labor laws.

Health and Safety

•      Responsible to follow all safety rules and work safely.

•      Responsible to report unsafe practices or concerns to the HR Manager.

•      Must adhere to all company policy and practices.

Working Conditions

•      Office environment with regulated temperature. Position will require an ability to sit, talk or hear for frequently long periods of time.

•      Bend and reach with hands and arms.

•      Daily lifting and/or ability to move up to 10 pounds and infrequently up to 25 pounds.

•      Manual dexterity and coordination are required to perform the work using a personal computer and various software programs, calculator, phone, copy and fax machines and other related tools and equipment.

•      Personal Protective Equipment usage where required.

•      Ability to travel to various GJ Mac Corporation locations in the Denver metro area.
