The People Generalist role at PartsTech is the beating heart of the People Team, as the connector of our culture to its people. In this role, you will play a role in all Human Resources processes to create a consistent and equitable experience as we cultivate a culture that allows everyone to do their best work.

This role is a true generalist and centers around building strong relationships with our global employees, managers, and cross functional teams to help achieve business results. You will have the opportunity to make your impact by managing, supporting, and improving People-related processes from hire to retire. This includes employee relations, performance management, HR technology, compensation, and benefits.

What You’ll Accomplish:

  • You’ll provide end-to-end support for all PartsTech Employees, from onboarding to offboarding.
  • You’ll be the go-to person to explain, provide information and respond to HR-related inquiries including those related to employee welfare, wellness, benefits, programs, and education.
  • You will help shape a strong culture through the implementation and promotion of user-friendly, accessible policies, including support of recognition programs and .
  • You will help plan virtual and in-person events that help create a sense of community and belonging.
  • You will assist with HR-adjacent tasks that set up our team for success, such as IT, events and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
  • You will own the people analytics reporting process and prepare regular materials to benchmark our progress in our goals in both spreadsheet and presentation form.
  • You will regularly audit employee and administrative changes in our HRIS system to ensure we’re always working with correct, up-to-date data.
  • You will run our record keeping practices. The People Operations Generalist will own our personnel files and our internal organization system.
  • You’ll be a new hire’s first contact at PartsTech, ensuring all new team members receive and complete orientation and training programs.


Who You Are:

  • A People Operations generalist with 2-5 years experience working in a high-growth environment.
  • You’ve owned an end-to-end payroll process before.
  • You’re proud of your deep understanding of benefits management best practices.
  • You build deep, meaningful relationships with employees.
  • You are able to maintain discretion and calm when handling confidential information, such as discipline, complaints, insurance issues and terminations.
  • You’re strong in HR compliance fundamentals, such as I-9 administration, policy administration, leave of absence management, etc.
  • You are incredibly organized, with great program and project management skills. You can create a new company policy and manage its administration.
  • A communicator par excellence; Both your written and verbal skills are top-tier, and you have a high EQ.
  • Tech-savvy. You can pick up new technologies very quickly, and you have participated in software implementations before.
  • You’ve used and administered core HR software, such as industry-leading HRIS and ATS systems.
  • You are a whizz with both the Microsoft Office & Google for Business suite
  • You understand how to present metrics and HR information in compelling, easy-to-understand ways to a non-People Ops audience.
  • You thrive when operating with a high degree of autonomy in a fast moving, sometimes ambiguous environment.
  • You can lead and influence without a formal position of authority.
  • You’ve never uttered the words “that’s not my job”. You’re willing to lend a hand in creating a great company with a strong culture and processes, even when the task is a little outside your comfort zone.

Bonus points if you:

  • Have experience working at a SaaS company or tech startup
  • Are multilingual! Spanish, Portuguese, Ukrainian and/or Russian are a big plus.
  • Have worked in People Operations at a multinational company before.
  • Are enthusiastic about, or have worked in, the automotive industry.
