As a highly detail-oriented, organized, and customer-centric person, the People Operations Specialist is responsible for executing day-to-day activities and projects that support our employees and the People & Culture team. Most importantly, this role is a key driver in keeping our people data accurate and up-to-date, which directly impacts the employee and manager experience.


  • Manage all employee related data with utmost accuracy and integrity across our HR tools and systems
  • Enter and maintain employee information in our HRIS (Sapling), payroll system (Paylocity), active roster/census, and other HR tools on a timely basis 
  • Ensure data integrity across Sapling, Paylocity, and other HR tools; maintaining confidentiality with sensitive employee information 
  • Onboard new hires into Paylocity; facilitate completion of I-9s and state paperwork in a timely manner
  • Own employee offboarding; initiate Sapling workflows, draft and send separation paperwork
  • Maintain our confidential employee and contractor folders in Google Drive
  • Maintain our Role & Performance Agreement (job description) Library in Google Drive
  • Serve as group administrator for our product, 15Five
  • Serve our employees with customer-centricity and urgency to ensure our people feel seen, heard, and valued
  • Handle inbound employee inquiries via Salesforce Service Cloud; identify needs, answer FAQs, triage inquiries, and escalate issues
  • Create and send out addendums to employees for changes in employment terms (e.g. transitions, promotions, merit increases)
  • Proactively identify process improvements and suggest processes that enhance the employee experience 
  • Support our compensation and benefits administration processes to ensure fairness and compliance
  • Serve as backup for semi-monthly payroll processing, and support our semi-annual compensation and promotion cycles
  • Serve as backup and support for liaising employee benefits inquiries with vendors
  • Support new process development and refinement as 15Five expands into new countries
  • Support annual processes such as annual open enrollments, renewals, and other projects as needed
  • Assist and partner with our Total Rewards Manager and Finance/Accounting to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, such as tax, 401k, and EEOC
  • Export data from HR systems for quarterly and annual audit reviews 


  • Impeccable attention to detail and highly organized 
  • Ability to manage multiple high priority tasks and a high volume of data that are constantly evolving 
  • Self-directed, action-oriented, eager to learn, and quick to adapt to change and feedback
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, providing frequent and transparent updates
  • Exemplary time management and prioritization skills
  • Operationally savvy and quick to learn and adopt new technologies and processes
  • Proficiency with Google Suite; specifically Google Docs and Google Sheets 
  • Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information and maintain discretion


  • 1-2+ years of people operations or HR experience
  • Experience in a fast-paced, hyper growth environment, ideally B2B SaaS
  • Experience with HRIS and/or payroll systems
  • People data analytics experience or data analysis skills 
  • Experience using Google Suite, Zoom and Slack
  • Experience working in a distributed and remote work environmentPHR certification is a plus


  • Monday: Attend company all-hands meeting, answer and assign inquiries in ServiceCloud, onboard new hires in Paylocity and complete I-9s and state paperwork, at end of day review ad-hoc projects for the week to support Manager and PeopleOps team
  • Tuesday: Answer and assign inquiries in ServiceCloud, answer benefits FAQs from new hires, have weekly 1:1 with your manager, update employee information across Sapling and Paylocity, help sort incoming digital mail and distribute between Total Rewards Manager and Finance
  • Wednesday: Answer and assign inquiries in ServiceCloud, maintain the active roster/census, and support our Total Rewards Manager on audits / and or semi-monthly payroll data support needs
  • Thursday: Answer and assign inquiries in ServiceCloud, initiate offboarding workflows to offboard separating employees, create and send out addendums, update employee and contractor folders in Google Drive 
  • Friday: Support ad-hoc projects, answer and assign inquiries in ServiceCloud, complete weekly 15Five check-in and get clear on next week’s priorities
