The People Operations Coordinator will support Soligent’s People & Culture Team by leading the execution of all internal and external People Operations tasks within a fast-paced and laser-focused team as well as providing excellent internal customer service creating an exciting and engaging culture. 

Job Description: 

  • Coordinates and supports new hires through the onboarding process
  • Helps to develop and implement new onboarding structure and process 
  • Manages Soligent’s HRIS & HR platforms and coordinates new hire onboarding 
  • Maintain records of personnel-related data (payroll, personal information, leaves, turnover rates etc.) and ensure all employment requirements are met
  • Contributes to strategic workforce planning according to strategic direction & objectives
  • Develops and runs reports as needed, including supporting key objectives related to recruiting or other People initiatives
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including maintenance of compliance calendar and tracking key deadlines for the People Team
  • Supports culture initiatives including employee safety and engagement programs
  • Processes bi-weekly payroll for Soligent and manages contractor payment approvals
  • Performs benefits administration and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations, claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and assisting with communicating benefits information to employees
  • Submits online investigation requests and assists with new-employee background and reference checks.
  • Reconciles benefits statements.
  • Assist with employee hiring and terminations process, performance review process, and training and development initiatives.
  • Identifies, documents, and suggests opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Performs other duties as assigned 

Location: 100% Remote / Work from Home

Required Skills/Proficiencies

The People Operations Coordinator must have the following skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in Human Resources and Payroll or similar roles
  • Ability to keep privileged information confidential and follow all established guidelines and policies around handling sensitive information. This is a must.
  • Advanced excel knowledge and experience. Preferred experience with pivot tables and dashboards
  • Familiarity with Google Suite, including working knowledge of Google Calendar, Gmail, and Google Drive
  • Familiarity with Asana and/or other project management tools
  • Knowledge of general HR policies and compliance obligations (i.e., HIPAA, OHSA, etc.)
  • Familiarity with HRIS software a plus
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail; able to manage priorities and workflow
  • Be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to exercise strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; customer service mindset required.
  • To speak English fluently and clearly and to hear oral communications by telephone, video call, and in person
  • To interact with others, internal and external to Soligent, while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor

Compensation for this role for a candidate based in Colorado is expected to be between $55,000- $65,000 and for a candidate in NYC is expected to be between $55,000- $65,000, but may be higher or lower in other States due to geographic differentials in the labor market.
