Position Summary

The HR Business Partner plays a vital role in our organization, responsible for various aspects of employee relations and HR policy management. This role requires expertise in employee relations, policy interpretation, performance management, and effective communication. The HR Business Partner will be a key resource for implementing HR policies, conducting performance improvement plans (PIPs), handling terminations, and ensuring smooth exit interviews. Additionally, they will actively contribute to the performance management process, prepare internal offer letters, promotion letters, and transfer letters.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Employee Relations:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to both employees and management, fostering positive employee relations.
  • Address and resolve employee concerns and conflicts in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Provide guidance and support to supervisors and managers in handling employee-related issues.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with employees to ensure a healthy work environment.
  • Inform management of developing issues and provide a barometer of employee morale.

Compliance and Policy:

  • Regularly review and update the employee handbook to ensure compliance with current laws and regulations.
  • Interpret HR policies, procedures, and guidelines for employees and management.
  • Work closely with colleagues in Talent Acquisition, Training, HRIS, Payroll, and Benefits to drive various HR processes.
  • Provide guidance on policy adherence and clarification as needed.
  • Keep management informed of HR related legal issues.
  • Ensure that the Company remains compliant with appropriate government laws and regulations

Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs):

  • Collaborate with managers to develop and implement performance improvement plans for underperforming employees.
  • Monitor and track progress under PIPs, providing feedback and guidance.
  • Assist in decision-making regarding further action, including terminations if necessary.

Terminations and Exit Interviews:

  • Handle the termination process, including conducting exit interviews to gather feedback and insights.
  • Ensure terminations are carried out in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Analyze exit interview data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Performance Management Process:

  • Contribute to the design and execution of the performance management process.
  • Assist in setting performance goals and expectations.
  • Provide guidance on performance evaluations, feedback, and development plans.

Internal Offer Letters, Promotion, and Transfer Letters:

  • Prepare internal offer letters for employees transitioning within the organization.
  • Facilitate the promotion and transfer process, ensuring transparency and adherence to policies.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure smooth transitions.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities)

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and policy development.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
  • ADP experience a plus
  • Proven track record of effectively managing employee relations issues.
