The Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for processing the leave of absence for all employees, working with our third-party leave administrator.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other Duties May Be Assigned)

  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills, providing employee assistance as the initial point of contact for the Human Resources function.
  • Manage and track LOA process manually and with outside administrator collaborating between management.
  • Act as point person for employees with inquiries about Leave of Absences and engages in the interactive process with employee if necessary.
  • Will partner with third party leave administrator, field managers, and HRBP’s to determine if work restrictions can be accommodated with consideration and review of the employee's job description.
  • Tracks and code employee files in accordance with internal workflow processes
  • Maintain employee LOA files and internal tracker.
  • Knowledge of state and federal FMLA regulations and ADA
  • Professional and personable with the ability to exercise sound judgment when dealing with sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Ability to work with others and collaborate across the organization to achieve goals.

  • Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Deep understanding and support of the HR ticketing system. Responsible for monitoring, resolving, or distributing incoming mail, emails, faxes and telephone calls.
  • Support a universal paperless employee record system. Manage all employee records in a legally compliant manner.
  • Assist with Employment verification calls and faxes, leveraging Equifax as appropriate.
  • Provide support for end of school year and back to school processes (collecting certifications, related documents, recording paperwork, data entry into payroll system).
  • Maintain skills through required training and coaching.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • 2-4 years’ experience providing HR related administrative support
  • 2-4 years’ customer service experience required (internal or external)
  • Experience supporting HR compliance processes
  • Experience documenting and training on process and procedure
  • 1-3 years HR Information System, Applicant Tracking System and data management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred
  • 1-3 years’ experience supporting the leave of absence process
